Driving instructions leaving & returning Europcar at Via Borgo Ognissanti Florence.

Hi, does anyone have driving instructions for leaving and returning to the Europcar location at Via Borgo Ognissanti in Florence? I asked Europcar and they were absolutely no help. I plan on driving out of the ZTL and going down the Sp222 to Siena and then onto Trequanda. Then we will be returning from Trequanda to Via Borgo Ognissanti in Florence to drop off the car. I think I have good directions for getting out of Florence, but I am not sure how to get back into the Via Borgo Ognissanti Europcar office on our return. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you and ciao.

I will give you directions once I'm at a real computer (on iPhone now) but it is impossible to drive back to that location without going thru the ZTL camera. Pick up and exit is ok. You need to ask the office to place your car on the white list in the city website. I generally use their Forlanini location because there is often a long line of tourists at their Borgo Ognissanti location. I had to wait over 2 hours in line once there and I'm not making that mistake again unless it's off season.

Go with Roberto's directions when he gets a chance. I dropped off there coming from siena direction in June and it was very straightforward, (I followed the GPS so cant give directions) however just confirming Roberto's comment, even dropping off took 30 min and left the car on the street. The approx. 30 people lining up to pick up did not look impressed, so be careful of planning to be anywhere at a set time after pick up.. They looked like they had been there a very long time. I used Europcar all the time at home (Australia) with never a problem but used them in Italy and France and will never do again.

Hello Roberto and slavender, thank you very much for your replies. Boy, the Via Borgo Ognissanti location is looking less and less inviting. Roberto, you mentioned that you like to use the Forlanini location to rent your car from Europcar. Is this a better location than at the airport in your estimation? This certainly is well outside the ZTL. Again, thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

Europcar is often the cheapest that's why they have the longest lines. Via Forlanini is on the way to the airport and only 5 min drive from it. I prefer to pick up and return there because there aren't any lines. I don't pick up at the airport even if it's not far from via Forlanini because it's significantly more expensive due to the airport charges.

Roberto, thanks for this. The Via Forlanini location looks like the location for me. Now to see if I can arrange to have my location changed from Via Borgo Ognissanti. And I am in contact with Hotel Casci. Thank you again, Roberto.
