We will be in Palermo for 3 nights in September. We do not want to drive in Palermo, but will pick up a car when we leave for the rest of our trip. No car rental places are open Sunday when we are leaving, so we have to pick it up on Saturday. Any suggestions on where to get it, parking it overnight and driving out of Palermo - we've heard such horror stories about driving there.

You can pick it up at the airport, they are open on Sunday.

The airport is the best place to get the car. You will never have to drive in the city.

Thanks for the suggestion to go back to the airport for the car, Henry & Giovanna. I don't know why I didn't think of that - great idea!
