I see some older posts about plans to introduce a huge ZTL zone in the Dolomites area. I'm planning a car trip there this summer and looking for information on whether the ZTL is already in effect, or when it will go into effect, and how it's working. Thanks for any information you can provide.
I hadn’t heard anything about this until reading your question but here’s some info on it:
Dolomiti ZTL
Thanks @jonrossjan. That site says "The project will start on 1 June 2024 as a pilot as part of the “Sustainable mobility on the Dolomite passes” but if it was in effect last summer, I would think there would be more information about it online. I'm just not finding anything definitive, so I can't tell if there are certain tolls I need to prepay, or routes I need to avoid.
Note the date of the article: “South Tyrol, April 1st 2024”. Perhaps that’s why this blogger seems to be the only source of information on this topic?
