I’m a landscape photographer and wish to spend the entire day photographing this area. Can you, or can you not, drive inside this restricted area (for example to Saltria) before 9am and leave your car parked there until after 5pm? If so, are there any places for public parking?

Yes, you can drive up to the main lodge area of the park. From there you can hike to the many chair lifts/cable cars or take a bus a few miles "deeper" into the park that drops you off close to another set of lifts that take you to higher elevations.

The question is about Saltria, at the far end of the Alpe, within the restricted zone. I do not know the answer. We took the bus from Compatsch to spend the day hiking around Sasso Piatto, and apart from being crowded, it worked fine.
This explanation sounds like it is OK before 9, but not all that clearly. Are you sure of a place to park at Saltria if you can get there?
