We are planning on driving from Sienna to zurich and the Google map is showing 7 hours.. does this sound reasonable? There are 6 adults in a van and thought between all of us sharing expenses it would be cheaper than fares for train... also read about a sticker for the car needing in Switzerland...help!

Sounds about right. I don't know about a sticker. We rented a car in Milan, drove through Switzerland and returned the car in Lucca. No special sticker as far as I could tell, and no one checked.

What were the road conditions through northern Italy and Switzerland? Are there steep highways through the mountains? thank you!
