My daughters (ages 26 and 27) and I are going to be in Sorrento in April. Wehave decided to rent a car and spend the day getting to the Rome airport. We will leave Sorrento around mid day and it doesn't matter when we get to the airport as we are staying at the airport Hilton for an early morning flight the next day.
I am looking for suggestions on an itinerary for the drive - fun things to see, places to stop, vineyards etc. Thanks for any help

Two sites I can highly recommend
The first an hour north of Sorrento.

On your drive north, be sure to stop at an Autogrill. Good food and great for last minute souvenirs.

We enjoyed seeing Montecassino Abbey in Casino, Italy. It’s not too far from the highway, and it very impressive.
