Hi--We have 8 people in our party, 4 of whom are over the age of 65. We are headed to Umbria, near Todi, from Rome. I really need advice on the best way to get from the airport in Rome (FCO) to our villa. Can we get a car to fit all 8 of us, or will we need two cars? How crazy is the driving in Rome? Help!!

Pick up your cars at the airport. Don't even try to drive in Rome itself. I think two cars is the way to go. Vans are difficult to drive in small towns.

We drove from FCO to Todi.Easy drive. 2 cars would be best. i agree that a large van is difficult to maneuver in narrow streets and to park. Where are you staying?
