Is it difficult driving out of the Rome airport to Orvieto then on to Chuisi where we will be picked up by our hotel transfer to Montepulciano. We have driven all over Italy, but not out of the Rome airport.

From the airport you get right on the ring road around the city. The rental agent gave us a map and marked it to show where one gets on and off. We had no problem and have done it several times. Orvieto has a big parking lot at the base of the town; you leave your car and take the funicular up through the train station and on into the town.
