Planning a trip: first night in Milan, two days on nearby northern lake, 3 days in Berner Oberland, and drive back for a final night in Milan. Any advice on car rental details and which lake/hotel you would pick. We did Varenna couple years ago and loved it but would like to try something new this time. Planning for early June 2025. Looking for beautiful views, gardens, good food, good hiking, hotel with a pool would be amazing.
