We will be traveling from Florence to Revo (north of Trento) for a few days in mid-May. We'd like to drive, but I get nervous driving on winding mountain roads and heights. Is the road high and windy, and can you give us an idea of about how long the drive will take? Thanks. Janet
I meant to say is the road "winding" not "windy." Thanks. Janet
The drive from Florence to Revo is approximately 225 miles (360km). It's all freeway from Florence to San Michele Adige where you exit the freeway. From the freeway exit at San Michele it's a two lane road that winds through the Dolomites for about 25km (16 miles). Except for this last portion it's not winding, it's a 4 to 6 lane freeway. You should be able to get there in less than 4 hours. The last winding portion will not be any worse than driving from Sedona to Flagstaff, if you've been there.
Thank you Roberto! Yes, I have been to Sedona/Flagstaff many times. This is very helpful. Janet
