We plan to rent a car at Bologna Airport (staying in Bologna center the night before, but it's a Sunday and no rentals were available that allowed one way drop off) and driving to our next destination, Agriturismo La Terra in Petrignano. According to google maps, it's about 2 hrs 15 min drive by toll road or almost 4 hours avoiding tolls. We hope to be on the road by 11am on a Sunday in March and want to arrive by 5 or 6pm that evening. Looking for recommendations for 1 or 2 stops along the way. One possibility is to stop in Arezzo but that's at the very end of the trip. It would be great to have a stopping point between Bologna and Florence, even if only for a short stop, maybe a view point, walking path etc, or maybe a recommendation for a fun place for lunch.
It's not so much that 2-3 hours driving in one day is so long, it would just be more fun to have a stop along the way. Given that it's Sunday, if we do decide to spend some time in Arezzo, will there be much open? We are possibly planning for a dinner when we arrive at the agriturismo so we don't need a big lunch, but we do have some flexibility on that.
