We r going to be at farmhouse in Montalcino in Oct and would like to drive to coast for a day trip. We’re wondering about going to Monte Argentario or any other coastal recommendations folks might have. thank you.

You can get a rough estimate of time needed on www.viamichelin.com. Most people say to add 25% for a realistic idea. I have found that driving in Tuscany usually takes longer than you might think, because of narrow, winding roads and lots of small towns, where you have to slow down to 50 kph or less.
