Does anyone have tips on driving from Bellagio, Italy to Nice, France? Anything we should be aware of or something fun to do?
Picking up the car at Hertz in Varnese, Italy and then driving from Bellagio to France.

If you are planning to return the car in France just be aware that there will be a high charge for returning in different country
Also check to be sure you can actually take the car out of Italy

And make sure every driver has an IDP.
Oh, and that drop off fee- likely in the high hundreds of Euros, on top of the rental cost, tolls, gas, and parking.

A stop in the historic center of Albenga, Liguria, is worthwhile to see a lively and pleasant small Italian city. You can drop the car off in Ventimiglia near the French border and continue by train to avoid the great giant drop-off fee.
