/ drivers license

We recently moved so our drivers license does not reflect current address. Will this cause us any problem renting cars or any other issues?

The problem will be in Italy is that you need the International Driver's Permit. As long as that matches up, you should be fine. Given that you can get a drivers license in a day, why not get it changed?

As Frank said as long as it jives up with the IDP you should be fine.

Passports don't have addresses on them, only the city/state where you applied for and received your passport.

You can add your address to your passport on the personal data/emergancy contact page.

"You can add your address to your passport on the personal data/emergancy contact page." - Does anybody actually fill that in? As far as the address is cooncerned, a passport lasts 10 years so any address has a high chance of being out-of-date.

My Driving Licence doesn't have an address on it, I don't know about other European countries. If they want your address, Car hire companies usually get your address either from your online booking, or ask you when you pick up the car.

The directions on the US passport is to put your address in pencil so it can be easily changed. We just use the free return address labels that get with various funding raising requests. We figure that if the passport was lost perhaps the address might get it returned.

I doubt it will cause any issues but just be sure you're correct information is on the rental agreement. Also, be sure everyone who plans to drive gets an IDP- international drivers permit- before leaving home. It's required by law and most rental companies are not renting without one.
