Hello Friends, I am hoping that one or more of you might be able to recommend a company to provide wine tours south of Florence. We are actually staying in a small town, Citta di Castello. We want someone to pick us up at our villa and take us to some wineries and lunch. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Nancy

That's pretty far from Florence. I suggest you check with your hosts before you go and tell them what you are after. They may be able to find a local driver for you.
Do you do wine tasting often? We've done tastings in Napa Valley, the Moselle region of Germany, the Loire Valley in France and in Tuscany. We only do two, maybe three tastings a day maximum. The better way to do it is to find a lunch food and wine pairing and take your time. We did that in Tuscany especially. They started with Prosecco, then served their Chianti Classico, followed by their Chianti Reserva, then their Super Tuscan and finished with biscotti and Vin Santo. There was a different course with each wine. It was a marvelous experience.

We have not used the below previously but are going in September/October and based on a number of posts within this Forum the following were recommended and we have booked with for our upcoming trip:
(1) Luca with Hills and Roads
(2) Filippo with Tuscany Car Tours
(3) Lorenzo with All Around Tuscany
We have also used Grape Tours Company before for a number of their wine tours in Tuscany. Most start/end in Florence and are semi-private (no more than 7 total) but I believe they also offer private custom tours when their calendar allows so might be another one to look into for your needs.
