I would just take the Circumvisuviana rather than drop €150 in a private driver. I think a lot of the pearl clutching about that line is silly.

A driver will be in the 150-200 euro range.
The Circumvesuviana is only a few euros.
Or consider a ferry from Naples to Sorrento.

Personally I would just take the Circumvesuviana. But if you aren't willing to do that then there are frequent shuttle buses from the train station to the airport, and from the airport Curreri Viaggi runs buses to Sorrento. You can look at their timetable to see if it works for you.

Ah, so it's the Campania Express that's been cancelled. Good heads up as a fair amount of posters traveling Naples> Sorrento have opted for that method. Yes, I'd go with just taking the regular Circumvesuviana unless traveling from the airport, in which case I'd take the Curreri bus. https://www.curreriviaggi.it/en/naples-airport-shuttle.
