I know private drivers from Napoli to Sorrento have been recommended on Forum before, but since our train from Napoli to Sorrento has been canceled, I need help with an update.
Oct 5, 2026 from Naples hotel to Sorrento. Please post recommendations at a good rate. Also, we would be willing to do share ride.

Hi - can you provide a link to a Circumvesuviana cancellation notice for Oct. 5, 2026? How were you informed?
I would recommend MondoGuides if needed, as they'll do door to door from Naples to Sorrento.

I would just take the Circumvisuviana rather than drop €150 in a private driver. I think a lot of the pearl clutching about that line is silly.

A driver will be in the 150-200 euro range.
The Circumvesuviana is only a few euros.
Or consider a ferry from Naples to Sorrento.

Personally I would just take the Circumvesuviana. But if you aren't willing to do that then there are frequent shuttle buses from the train station to the airport, and from the airport Curreri Viaggi runs buses to Sorrento. You can look at their timetable to see if it works for you.
