Hello We have 10 family members going to Tuscany and ard traveling by train most of the time. We are taking 4 days and staying in SanGimignano and doing day trips. We thought we would rent a car but does hiring a driver seem easier and does anyone know of a reliable drivers that could do this.
Probably 7-8 hours per day for 3 or 4 days. We would like complete flexibility to do what we want.
Thanks for your help

For 10 people, you're going to need at least 2 mid sized cars. Drivers will need an IDP (translation of your home license) available at AAA, cost is around $25. Be sure to read up on

For a private driver, check with your lodging or
I would rent 3 economy or compact vehicles for your 4 days in SG.
Two would not be enough for everyone plus the luggage.
A van costs as much as 3 cars to rent. But a van can hold only 8 pax plus the driver.
A private car service will probably use two vehicles (one of which a van) as 10 is too many for one but too few for a bus. Depending on the trips the cost would be about 300-350€ per 4 hr trip (per vehicle).
3 compact cars for 4 days should be $40 a day each vehicle, including zero deductible insurance. Basically about $400 total, including fuel. The issue is whether in your party you have at least 3 adults willing to drive.
