We would dearly love to attend a performance of "The Marriage of Figaro" at La Scala in April. But I am concerned about the dress code that states "it is always advised to to wear a jacket and tie. In general, we ask that you wear clothing that is in keeping with the decorum of the opera house" (from their website). I will be travelling light, without this attire. Should we forget trying to go, based on this requirement?
