I was looking at train travel from Naples to Bari on June 23, 2025 and it was 10 hours. I had looked a few weeks ago and it was around 4 hours. By changing dates I found that the schedule is 4 hours on June 9 and 10 hours on June 10, it seems to want to take me north to Bologna (which is far away). All the websites (Tranitalia, ItaliRail, EuroRail) all say the same thing, so it's real. But I con't find out any info as to what is going on. All the train closure websites I find list nothing about it. Anyone have any idea how to find out why the schedule change? I'm thinking rail line closure or electrical work...but I can't find anything.
So, if real, What is the best option? Bus? I also want to travel from Bari to Monopoli, then to Lecce. I hope some trains are running.
