dPLF Form Questions

I may be over thinking this but for those that have filled out the form or who knows I have a couple questions. I just bought train tickets for October this year and Im not sure how I go about filling out the form.

  1. Im assuming the transportation part of the form is how we will be traveling within Italy correct??

  2. We are going from Venice to Florence, Florence to Rome and then Rome to Naples via train. This is where Im confused. Do I need to fill out a separate DPLF for each leg of the trip? Or do I add an intermediate station for each destination?

Thanks

The transportation part of the form is for how you will be traveling to Italy. ie. The flights from your country to Italy. I do not believe it is required to mark your movement within the country. Your hotel/accomadation will notify the local authorities of your arrival and location.

The dPLF is needed to enter Italy. At present travel within Italy is free, but long distance trains can sell only 50% of their places; they are already talking about raising the seating percentage but requiring the green pass (likely only on long distance trains).

Perfect thank you! I bought our train tickets for October as I didn’t want to take a chance of getting sold out. Even though I was probably safe to wait. But I did fill out both forms under my email address for my wife and I and the QR code’s are different per person. So I would assume if you traveling with family and kids etc being logged in under one account is safe to do so as it easier to keep track of. Now just curious how this green pass will play out come October and I’m hoping it will be easier to get one as people outside EU zone will have to get one.

The dPLF for Italy needs to be filled out separately for each adult. In order for each of you to register, you will have to have your own email addresses.

If you read the form, it clearly states that only ONE form per FAMILY is needed. We just returned from Italy and when we landed in Rome nobody ever even checked it.

The rules for Italy state that each adult must complete their own form. If you are traveling with minors, you can include them on your form. The rules are different for Malta, One group or family per form.

We ended up doing one for each with 2 different emails. So we will print them up prior to boarding and see if they even look at it. Thanks for the replies
