We will be spending a few months in Ascoli Piceno next winter, and my avid skier husband wants to try out some slopes in the Italian Alps (The Sibillinis don't fit the bill for downhill skiing, just for hiking.) Can anyone suggest some reasonable-cost Italian ski resorts, and are there any you know of which are accessible by train from the Le Marche region?
