My husband and I are spending three nights in Ortisei. We are hoping to hike during our visit if weather allows. I'm trying to figure out the lift pass system. Staying in Ortisei allows us to access both Val Gardena and Alpe di Siuis. I'm finding information for the Gardena Card and a SuperSummer Day Card. Will both cover the same lifts? I will not be purchasing early since weather in the mountains could impact the lifts actually running. I'm also finding different information regarding when the lifts open up for the summer season. One place said mid-May and another said mid-June. I appreciate any insight. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this forum. I've learned so much over the years and this is the first time I've actually asked a question.

Each lift has its own schedule. Most will be open by June 15. Many are open by June 1.

Thank you very much. I have visited a similiar site, but it did not show the opening dates. This is up to date and very helpful as I plan hikes into different areas.

We stayed in Santa Cristina val Gardena last summer for 3 nights. We used the Gardena card to go to Col Raiser, Seceda, and Seiser Alm. My understanding is that the Gardena card (GC) is more limited than the Super Summer (SS) card. The SS card covers more lifts up on Alpe di Siuisi. The GC will get you up there from Ortesei and cover the closet lift, but it does not cover the other lifts on the plateau.
