My friend and I will be driving from the Dolomites airport to La Spezia, Italy. This is the route we plan to take: MAP
We have about 6 or 7 hours to make the entire trip. Any suggestions on a good place worth stopping to see? Possibly get lunch somewhere?

If you haven't been to Verona there is a lot to see and it is right along your path of travel. You could easily spend 3 hours here though.
Roman Arena (Smaller than the one in Rome, but more intact and still used today for operas) and a Roman Ampetheatre.
Medieval bridge (rebuilt post WW2 but very beautiful) Ponte Scaligero
Very old medieval church (built in approximately 1123) San Zenno
You'd also be driving Near Lake Garda which might be worth a stop depending on your interests.
Emilia Romagna region is acclaimed for its food. If it was my trip I'd do some research on that region (and foods you and your friend enjoy) and pick a spot for lunch.
Hard to say really without knowing more about your interests. :)

Parma is nice stop for lunch. Picturesque town and lots of restaurant. easy parking. You could also look at cheese Reggio Emilia or pick up some balsamico in Modena. Or look at Ferrari's.
