Dolomites September 2016

My husband and I will be traveling to the Dolomites at the beginning of September. We will be flying into Milan then heading to the Dolomites. We would like to hike hut to hut staying three nights in the huts but are unsure where to begin. We originally thought we would be based out of Cortina get transport to Lago di Brais hike from there to Rif Biella for night 1, Rif Fanes night 2, Rif Lagazuoi night 3 then back to Cortina. We are not married to this itinerary and are open to suggestions. Are there less crowded parts we should consider? Prettier areas? Any information Is greatly appreciated! After the Dolomites we will be flying to Prague.

Skied it, never hiked it. Fabulous scenery. No idea how crowded in September. Wouldn't imagine it to be too bad as it is the tail end of the hiking season. Check out the Battaglia della Galleria at the base of the Lagazoui lift.
