Dolomites - Seceda and Seiser Alm in one day - is this doable?

What is the best approach to seeing both these sights in one day? Can both be accessed from Ortisei? Or can both be accessed from Compatsch?
We will be on a My Way Alpine tour in September and I'm wondering what town is usually used for lodging?

Thank you for your help!

I think Castelrotto is usually used for lodging. If that's the case, there's no way you can do Seceda and Seiser Alm in one day; even from Ortisei that would be difficult.

If you take the bus to Ortisei there are lifts to both Seceda and Seiser Alm so you could easily go up to both and walk around a bit, enjoy the views, etc. In the middle of Sept sunrise is at roughly 7am and sunset at about 7:30pm so you could spend a few hours at each. Check the bus schedules at südtirolmobil to plan your travel to/from Ortisei.

Yes, you can.

Get an early bus to Ortisei and take the 2 stage cable way to Seceda. For an easy hike, walk out on Trails 1 and 6 to Forcella Pana, a 40 minute roundtrip.

Descend to Ortisei and walk through the village and across the highway to the Mont Sëuc lift. From the top you can walk an easy 3.8 miles to Compatsch (Trails 9, 6, 3 and 30 all well marked) in 2 hours. You could have lunch at Mont Sëuc before you set off or at the charming Hotel Icaro along the way.

Once in Compatsch, you can take the big blue gondolas down to Siusi and return to Castelrotto by bus from there, a very short ride.

Editing to clarify Mont Sëuc is on the Seiser Alm, aka Alpe di Siusi.
