Dolomites/Ortisei

Planning a trip next June and could be in Ortisei June 4-6...is that to early
for this region...just a first taste of the Dolomites & some easy hikes-have
been to Lauterbrunnen numerous times and heading there afterwards. TY

I am in Ortisei now. It's too early to plan. However, book you hotel by mid to late March. Due to the pandemic, many Europeans choose to work from "home" here. I see many foreign license plates.

I booked my hotels two months in advance and it was not easy.

I'm also planning to be there probably mid-June...according to this year's schedule cable cars should be open end of May, and I read it's probably comfortable in daytime, a bit cooler at night...I'm also way early trying to work out details...sounds like Alpi Di Suisi is also a great place for easy hikes, beauty. Am also seriously thinking about Castelrotto...how far to Lauterbrunnen?...taking train I assume?

We stayed in Ortisei June 5-9 in 2019 and loved it. There was plenty to fill our time, but not all the lifts were running yet. We were sorry to miss the opportunity to go up to Seceda, but that lift wasn't going to open until June 15. Still, I would urge you to go.
