I am planning a trip with my husband. We are in our 20s, in shape and like to hike, but this is our first hike heavy trip. We will take a train to Bolzano, rent a car then head to ortisei on October 12th. We fly out of Milan super early morning Sunday the 18th. This is our rough itinerary & would love some input:
Oct 12: train to Bolzano, rent a car and drive to Ortisei. Stop at Lago di Carazza on the way
Oct 13: Secada & Alpe di Siusi, possibly drive to Passo Gardena
Oct 14: Val di funes, Adolf Munkel Trail + Geisler Alm
Oct 15: Early wakeup for: Cadini & Tre cime. Thinking of staying in Misurina.
Oct 16: Lago de Braies in morning & then travel to Milan for one night.
We are somewhat interested in doing a Via Ferrata as well, but would like input on difficulty / safety level?
Should we spend the 16th in Misurina as well and add or adjust something?
Also, if anyone has accommodation recs please let me know.
Thank you so so SO much!!
