Dolomites in May

Hello, we are going to be travelling through and staying in the Val Gardena area for a couple nights in May. Specifically, May 20-22. It looks like there are only two lifts open at that time: Ortisei - Alpe di Siusi and Resciesa. I know there's the St Jakobs hike, but does anyone have knowledge of other local hikes that don't require a lift? Moderate trails preferred.

Note: We will have a car.

If you go up a to the Alpe di Siusi at Mont Sëuc you can hike there. A nice roundtrip of 3.5 miles will give you a nice overview and you can descend again at Mont Sëuc right back to Ortisei. No car required. I have mapped the hike here https://www.plotaroute.com/route/1024735 but note you will have to walk back up to Mont Sëuc as the lift at Sonne/Sole will not be open. It’s not a horrible climb, maybe 400 feet and gradual. We have hiked this route in winter and fall.

Rasciesa is also feasible in winter or fall so May should not be a problem it is an out-and-back to a little chapel.
