Dolomites in June

Has anyone been to the Dolomites/Alta bidia in mid June? Just wondering what the weather was like.
thanks Richard

My stay in that area was in July 2015, so I can't help if you're wondering about cool or wet weather. If it's heat that concerns you: I found it really pleasant at the top of the lifts and in the mountain villages (like Ortisei) even though it was quite hot in the valley cities of Bolzano and Bressanone.

If you plan to spend one or more nights down in the valley and are booking the hotel ahead of time (before you have good weather info), I suggest you look for a place with air conditioning. I'm sure it's sometimes needed in June, and many of the moderately priced hotels in Bolzano and Bressanone don't have it. Their position is that it doesn't get that hot very often; my position is that if it's hot while I'm there, I want a/c. Yes, it is all about me.

We are staying in Colfosco which is at 5000 feet. Should be a little cooler up there. We already have a hotel booked.

We always go in July and stay in Ortisei, although one trip also involved staying in the Sesto area. It was never hot enough for A/C, but those feather beds feel wonderful on the cold nights!

With an RS tour last year June 11-12, the morning was mostly sunny in the Alpi di Siusi, by noon we were shedding jackets. Then the clouds came in and it poured for a couple hours. It finally cleared up after about 4 hours. Until the rain chased most of us away, it was beautiful, lots of colorful wildflowers. Some who got a late start waited out the storms and said that the late afternoon was also quite lovely. I am told that frequent changes of weather are quite common, ours was one of the worst, but still a great day.
