Dolomites in July

Hi Everyone,

My family of four (husband and my 11 and 12 year old children) will be traveling the Dolomites this summer. We'll be arriving from Lake Guarda via car rental and next stop will be Trieste.

We have one night booked in Kastleruth and 3 nights at the Winkler Sport Resort/Spa in St Lorenzen.

Our questions are; we love seeing small villages and of course the natural beauty of this region. With having an average active level and younger children what are the best options and what sights are must sees? Such as taking gondolas to see the main points of interests, nice valley to enjoy, villages to stroll and lake views?

Thanks Amy

Most people on this forum glitch out if you don’t mention Ortisei and the Dolomites in the same breath.

From your location in St. Lorenzen I would check out Armentara meadows and Prato Piazza as gentle scenic mountain locations. For lakes, you have Misurina, Toblacher, and of course Lago di Braies.

Cortana in Badia is a beautiful village. You are right next to Bruneck which looks nice, I will be there in June.
