I am back to - hopefully- plan a much deserved trip. This time I will be flying into Switzerland. From there, I hope to find a place to rent for a week - close to hiking and areas to visit. This is my first post for this and I know that this is a vague post. If anyone has done such a trip, I would love to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

Time of year (weather) is important when you are visiting the mountains.
Unfortunately, I don’t have an exact date but most likely in a summer month.
Who said you deserve a trip?
Just kidding. I would fly into Zurich. Take the train to the Lauterbrunnen valley area. Look for an Air BNB around there. Then take the train south to Italy. You can fly out of Milan or Verona or Venice after visiting the Dolomites
