dolomites end of may weather??

hi!
a friend and I were interested in hiking the dolomites the last week of may. I am aware that most of the lifts and rifugios will be closed and so we were thinking of basing ourselves out of the alp di suisi area and doing day hikes. however my concern is the weather. I would rather not hike in the freezing rain for 4 days straight and so if that is the case any alternative suggestions would be much appreciated!
thank you so much

If we could predict the weather accurately we’d all be much happier and richer!

It is still pre-season in May and anything can happen from snow to 70+ degrees. Unlikely that it will rain all day any day. Look at www.wunderground.com for, historical weather and see if you are comfortable with the norms for your travel dates.

I've spent quite a bit of time the last two days trying to find the historical weather for the Ortisei area for our trip in early June. Weather Underground defaults to the Bolzano station, which is NOT what we'll find in the mountains! The lovely people at ValGardena.it suggested I check meteo@provinz.bz.it. There, I did find historical weather for Selva, which hopefully is close enough! It shows late May will have highs of roughly 60 degrees F (lows around 40).
