So we have done Paris to Salzburg in 7 days. Has anyone done Rome to Dolmites in a 7 day trip? If so best way for transport (not in a tour group?!) Grazie!
Easy, just take a train from Rome to Bolzano and then get the bus to from there to Dolomite location.
Currently 6 direct trains every day taking 5 hours from Termini to Bolzano.
Do you mean the entire trip, including travel to/from Europe, touring Rome, travel to the Dolomites, touring the Dolomites, and travel to your departure airport, happens in 7 days?
Or do you have 7 days between your departure from Rome and your arrival to the Dolomites, with stops along the way?
stops along the way! or we are willing to train and rent a partial car!
We are also debating Lake Garda. We did Como last time!
Where in the Dolomites do you plan to go and what do you want to do? One week is really tight to scratch the surface in either. How about Florence, milan or Venice instead?
Como was much more enjoyable for me than Garda, btw.
