Dolomites and hiking poles

Has anyone had experience with renting hiking poles while in the Dolomites? Do hotels or sporting good shops do this? I am planning on bringing Carry on luggage only but would love to use hiking poles on my hikes. Most of trip is in Tuscany but had to get to the Dolomites for a few days of hiking.

Even polled that collapse to fit in a carryon will not be allowed. The issue is the sharp tips.

I always take my collapsable hiking poles in my carry on suitcase with no problems. This current trip I flew 4 times with no issues.

Sasha, you are so right! I've been checking bags to bring my poles. Mental lapse!

Ask your hotel if they have some to lend. We didn't need them in the Dolomites, but a medium-sized hotel in Austria had a collection for guests to borrow at no cost. Good luck, and have fun! The Dolomites are my absolute favorite hiking area!

Fantastic! I love the Dolomites, and had the great experience 10 hiking days with a friend. We stayed in 2 locations, and each
of our 2 hotels had sticks and backpacks. Have a wonderful time, and perhaps check with your hotels as to what they
may be able to provide.
