Dolomite, suggested route by car?

I am returning to Dolomites area lare Sept. for 2 nites approaching from Venice area this time.
Any suggestions for a scenic route with lodging along the way.

Yupper! Last October I drove the Grande Strada delle Dolomiti (Great Dolomites Road) from Cortina d'Ampezzo to Bolzano. The views and scenery were outstanding. I made the trip in a day but if you're staying overnight along the way, consider driving from Venice and paying a short visit to Treviso on the way to Cortina where you spend the night before heading to Bolzano.

If you enjoy driving mountain roads, you'll love this.

We are driving on Sept. 22 from Venice to Belluno (1 hour) and staying overnight at https://www.hotelvillacarpenada.it/it/. From there, we're going west and connecting to SR203 heading north then SR346 west to Moena. From there, you can go north to the heart of the Dolomites or north then west to Bolzano.

I've gone on Google maps street view and "driven" this route and it looks fairly easy and has very rewarding scenery.
