Okay...we're not going to spend multiple days enjoying the Dolomites. With our family member of 6 we will not be doing any hiking. However, we appreciate the amazing beauty of scenery and mountains. Does anyone have experience or recommendations for a day tour /private guide either from Verona or Bolzano?

Are you talking about a coming visit or one in the warmer months? We took the bus from Bolzano to Ortisei and once there we took the lift up to Seceda; there you can just chill and enjoy the great scenery and walk the flat trails and take some pictures as it is beautiful nature; there is a restaurant up there or bring a picnic. You don't need to pay a guide to that; only go if it is not rainin.

Easiest is from Bolzano and as Jazz recommends, just take the bus to Ortisei, ride up to Seceda or Mont Seüc for the amazing views: if it is clear and sunny. If it is raining that day, enjoy Bolzano.
