Dolce Vita stroll on Sunday?

Hi,

Would any of you recommend doing the Dolce Vita stroll on a Sunday? What time(s) would be best? Will stores/restaurants be open?
We will be visiting in late July.

Thanks,

Ryan

I did the Dolce Vita stroll early evening on a Sun in Nov and everything was open. I was impressed there were so many locals doing the same thing.

MaryPat,
Thank you for your reply. What time do you recommend visiting? I'm guessing that Romans define "early evening" differently than Americans :)

What is a Dolce Vita stroll?

Rick Steves created the La Dolce Vita Stroll that is a self-guided walking tour. It begins at Piazza del Popolo and continues down Via del Corso extending to the Roman Forum.

The Stroll is one of a number of free audio guided tours on the free "Rick Steves Audio Europe" app. I have used several of Rick's audio guided tours in Rome and they were great.... maybe a bit chatty, but with lots of good information, too.

I don't see the La Dolce Vita stroll in Rick Steves app but it is in his guidebook.

Yes, the walking tour included with the audio guide app is his "Heart of Rome" walk, which begins in Campo de' Fiori and ends at the Spanish Steps.

Hi,
The Dolce Vita Stroll is referenced in the Rick Steves Rome book. There is no affiliated audio guide. The Dolce Vita Stroll is a separate walk from the Heart of Rome Walk, for which there is an audio guide. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
