How on earth can you search for something? I am specifically looking for information that I previously posted about taking a cell phone (or anything for that matter) in the search hit enter and nothing, Never comes up with any info. What am I doing incorrectly??

You're not doing anything wrong. The 'search' function does not work on this website, hasn't since the change-over in January. You could try going to your profile page and click on "view topics Elaine has participate in".

Being a newbie here I wondered about this too.
Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to fix.

You can always use Google's advanced search. Put https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum in the "site or domain" box.

To get to your profile, if you are signed in just click on your name.

However, your name doesn't appear on the home page, you have to go to one of the forums, any one.
