Doges Palace during the Free Sunday for locals?!?

Hello,

We will be in Venice on March 15th, which is the “Musei in Festa” - free day for locals. Is it crazy to do the Doges Palace that day? Or perhaps since it’s March, it won’t be too crowded. Perhaps if we go early with a timed ticket, it will be fine. What do you all think?? Thank you!!😊

My guess is that it will be crowded. The reference point I am using is Patrimoine
Day in France, where once a year they open up many buildings that are not normally
accessible to the public for free.

If the special tours are not part of the free day, then those might still be not too bad.

Going early is a good idea - locals tend to take their time getting up on Sunday mornings.
