Doge's palace ticket question - Museum pass

Buongiorno!

We will be traveling in June. I am traveling with my children, and I am trying to find out about the museum pass. We do plan on going to Murano and Burano so I thought this pass makes the most sense. It doesn't appear to have a timed entry for the Doge's palace. My question is.....can we go at any time? or do we still need to make a timed reservation slot somehow for the Doge's palace?

Any tips would be appreciated. Our time is short and probably a once in a lifetime trip for me. I would like to make the most of it!

Grazie!!

Another option would be to buy individual tickets for whatever you want to see and get a vaporetto pass to cover the transportation. The vaporetto pass is 20 euros for 1 day; 30 euros for 2 days and 40 euros for 3 days. Those sound like high prices--and they are--but one vaporetto ticket costs 7.50 euros.

Exactly how much time do you have in Venice? You mention that your time is short, but you plan to go to both Murano and Burano. Those are interesting places, but if your time is really short (I'd say less than 3 full days/4 nights), I'd skip Murano and Burano. You really need time in Venice proper to wander around and get lost away from the heaving crowds around St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge and Market.
