Doge's Palace Secret Itineraries Tour

I expect that you do pay at the time of pickup and should plan to do so about one hour in advance. I remember picking up my ticket, but it's been a few years, so I don't remember the method of payment. Then, you can either go into the palace ahead of your tour time and return to the central courtyard meeting spot, or wait in the courtyard if time is not too long.

I bought my tickets last week for June 1st. I have printed receipt that payment was confirmed. States my CC statement will read “VIVATK” followed by the transaction number.

I just bought ours last week. There was an area to enter all of my credit card info on the vivaticket page. I received an email confirmation that it was paid, as well.

It was confusing and I spent a while figuring it out. Just keep trying and good luck!

I just copied and pasted this from my email confirmation. Payment has to be completed in order to collect the tickets the day of your tour.

Collecting and shipping conditions:
Please collect the tickets from one hour before the performance starting time by showing up a copy of your purchase receipt and a valid identity document, or a collecting note from the actual nominee of the reservation.

I bought tickets for this tour last year and I am certain I paid for the tickets online. I had a lot of challenges buying tickets at the different Italy venues though for whatever reason and it seems I had to go through the processes a few times to purchase. If you are using a tablet then switch to a computer. If I recall correctly that helped.
