Doge's Secret Itineraries tour/ or another?

Is this a tour worth taking, we do have a limited time in Venice (3 days) want to make the most of our time, is there another more reccommended tour/ things to do we should be looking at?

I liked the secret itineraries tour. I thought it was very good and informative. I'm not sure what other tour you may be interested in. donna

This is our first trip to Italy, we aren't extremeny interested in Art but more of the history.

We took the 'Secret Itineraries' tour several years ago and found it very worthwhile. You get to go all through the palace in places tourists normally don't see rooms where suspects were interrogated, Casanova's prison cell, up over the ceiling of the council chamber. The guide we had was excellent and she provided a good history of Venice and how it tied into the places we were seeing. The focus was more on history than art. It is one of my favorite memories of our visit to Venice.

I took it in June 2010 and definitely recommend it! I enjoyed it as well.

Hi from the Twin Cities. My adult daughter and I took the secret itineraries tour in June 2010 and just loved it. Seeing where Casanova was housed and walking around in the attics were highlights for us. Be sure you book ahead of time as the English tours fill up. I booked online and it was no trouble at all. You just take your ticket directly to the ticket desk and don't have to stand in line.
