Does We need to reserve train tickets ahead of time for using the Italian trains. We are going to be in Italy the last two weeks of March and the first two weeks of April and we’re wondering if it is a good idea to pre-purchase train tickets for our travels between Rome Sienna, Venice . Are there any pros and cons.?
Spell Check issue? Do we need to reserve train tickets.....
The advantage to buying high speed train tickets is that you can receive big discounts for advance nonrefundable tickets. But then your schedule needs to be fixed. Don't miss your train or the tickets become invalid, just like airline tickets.
Siena is only served by regional trains and they can't sell out. But often it is best to get to Siena by bus. Trains between Rome and Venice almost never sell out and they are very frequent. In fact there are two separate train companies that compete for business on that route, Trenitalia and Italtreno.

The bus to Siena [from the Tibertina station] goes to the center of town; train station a little ways out.
Thanks for info!
I suggest you read this webpage "A beginner's guide to Train travel in Italy", it will explain all: https://www.seat61.com/Italy-trains.htm
Especially the section "How to buy train tickets for Italy..."
@Sam, or the OP may not be a native English speaker. it is the same sort of grammar mistakes I in German make.
