Does the Venice Museum Pass allow one to skip the line?

I am considering purchasing the Museum Pass for Venice as I am interested in visiting all of the included sites. My main reason for wanting to purchase it is to skip the line...will the pass enable me to skip the line?

The Doge's Palace is the only one of the covered museums that typically has a line to buy tickets, and there are other ways around that (go early or buy online or across the square at the Correr Museum). So the main reasons to buy the pass would be to save money or to encourage yourself to go to more museums.

This note is from Rick's guidebook: For most people, the best choice is the Museum Pass, which covers entry into the Doge’s Palace, Correr Museum, and more. Note that seven of the most visit-worthy sights in town (the Accademia, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Scuola San Rocco, Campanile, and the three sights within St. Mark’s Basilica that charge admission) are not covered by any pass.
