I am looking for hotel recommendations for Toblach for September 2026. Any suggestions? We are two mature people that are walkers not serious hiker/climber types. We will have a car.

I was looking in that general area for next summer but did not find anything affordable. Went with Residence Aichner outside of Bruneck, about 30 mins from where you are looking.
It’s actually very convenient to a lot of hiking areas within an hour drive.

Check the various platforms like Booking, AirBnB, etc. however I noticed that sometimes those platforms may show no vacancies, when in fact they do have vacancies. I guess owners don’t put all their rooms on display on Booking. Check also Google maps, and when you see something you might like contact the property via email, or on their website.
PS: the name of the town is spelled DOBBIACO. You might get more hits if you spell it correctly.
At first I thought you were looking for a restaurant serving “abbacchio” (lamb in Roman dialect), a specialty in Rome.

Toblach hotels are not cheap because the location is super convenient. I couldn't find anything affordable either, back in September 2021. I thus booked a place in Olang which was excellent. Cozy, quiet, convenient, newly renovated with washers for laundry. I posted a review in the Reviews section.

We stayed in one of the 3 apartments at Villa Glauber, just on the edge of downtown Dobbiaco (5 minute walk on paths and sidewalks.) We LOVED it. I very much want to go back one day. Plenty of off-street parking too. Have a look.
