Do we need to reserve in advance luggage storage in Rome?

We are arriving in Rome on an early morning flight in April and would like to do some sightseeing before catching a 3:30pm train to our next city. Do we need to reserve in advance luggage storage near Rome Termini? If so, how many days or weeks in advance? Any recommendations on easy to use luggage storage businesses?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I've never needed to store luggage in Rome, but these days there are several third parties with websites where you can prebook luggage storage all over the world. Among those companies are Stasher, Nanny Bag and Radical Storage. They way they operate is that you reserve and pay in advance, probably knowing the approximate location of the storage site but not its specific address. They do not necessarily use lockers; there may just be a storage room accessed (one hopes) only by an employee. If lockers are not used, you will probably pay per piece of luggage, which is annoying if you have two relatively small bags.

By Googling luggage storage Rome you may find some additional options in the form of independently-run storage spots that don't operate through one of the large third parties. Perhaps some of those don't require prebooking and prepayment, but if they do not, there would be the theoretical possibility they wouldn't have space for your luggage when you arrived. Google suggests the company Stow Your Bags as a couple of locations quite near Roma Termini. At least one of them has lockers.
