Do we need to make reservations in Italy for Wine Tastings

My husband and I have been to Italy several times but never to the Lake region. We love wine and do a lot of tasting in Napa Valley in CA. however we have done very little in Italy. We are arriving June 7, 201`4 in Milan and are staying in Cannerro on Lake Maggiore for 3 nights, in Bellagio at Lake Como for 3 nights 3 nights at La Foresteria at the Serego Alighieri, 3 nights in Assisi in Umbria, 7 nights in South west Tuscany in Montisi, 2 nights in the Sabine Hills, and 3 nights in Rome.
We have a reservation at Serego Alighieri winery where we are staying for 3 nights in the Valpolicella region near Verona. Do we need to have reservations to taste at other wineries in the area?
If so can you make some recommendations on where to go for tastings in that area and other areas in Italy where we are staying?
Thank you

Most of the wine tasting in a winery especially the bigger ones insist on a reservation and a fee. Sometimes they will have a tasting room away from the winery, and those can be walk but obviously no tour. And in some of the towns there will be tasting rooms that you can walk into.

During your time in Bellagio, you will find wine bars that offer 3-wine tastings, as well as regular service by the glass. See Enoteca Cava Turacciolo and Aperitivo Et Al (p. 306 of Rick's Italy book). If you have identified other specific wineries of interest, their own web sites are probably your best resource.
