I went to the official Uffizi site to make reservations. The cost is 11 euro because of a "temporary exhibition" which I understand from the RS guidebook is normal. However, the "Terms & Conditions" appears to state that visitors under age 18 are free. This seems too good to be true--anyone have experience? If I show up there with my 16-year old and one reservation, will we both get in?
Thanks,
Cynthia
Yes, it's true. They changed it last year from all EU citizens under 18 being free to anyone under 18 being free. If your kids are close to 18 be sure to bring their passport as proof for the discount. This is for Rome as well. I'm not certain for other cities but I believe it is country wide at all state run sites.

Just thought I'd check -- is that everyone under 18, or might it be everyone under 81?
Thanks, Donna! This is great news. My 16-year-old looks 16, but I'll bring her passport anyway. Larry, an under-81 discount would get us both in.
Cheers,
Cynthia
