i am debating on whether i need to make a reservation for the vatican. i do not want to wait on a long line but planning on going on a wednesday or thursday in early september probably late afternoon (12:30-1:00). has anyone gone at this time? if so, will it be crowded with lines or will it be okay at that time? thanks!

We were just at the Vatican on Monday August 10th. We arrived at 1:30 and had only a 10 minute wait to get in . We were glad we didn't spend all the extra money to buy ahead. Talking to people there we were told the afternoons have been quiet all summer.
