Headed to Amalfi next spring break which is March 29-April 2. I wanted to know if the ferries run to Capri during this time. I see some places say they do but not sure. Anyone have this information? Thanks! First time in Italy!
Ferries typically start running in April
I wouldn’t expect ferries at all late March
It often depends when Easter is
True
Easter is April 20, 2025
I see on climate websites that on March 1, the average temperature range in Capri is 51℉-60℉. Have you considered a trip to the Caribbean instead?
That said, Capri, and Ischia, and other places nearby are islands. It seems logical to assume that there is some, unpleasantly rocky, infrequent, perhaps often cancelled, limited service to them at non-tourist times of the year. But I think you got the right answer to the question, "Do ferries run to Capri from the towns on the Amalfi Coast in late March?"
It is possible that the answer is different for "... from Sorrento", or even more likely "... from Naples." But since many seasonal businesses and attractions would be closed in March, it may not be a good place to visit at that time of year.
Service to the islands from Naples, and I think also from Sorrento to Capri, is available year round. There are people living in those islands and they need to eat. From other places in the mainland, don’t count on it.
